TV host/actor Vhong Navarro recently gave his reaction on the controversial sexual assault issue of “Tawag ng Tanghalan” grand champion Noven Belleza.
Early in July, the 22-year-old singer allegedly harassed a female local singer in Cebu City. He got arrested but later on posted bail, asserting that he did not commit the crime.
According to a previous report of ABS-CBN, Noven “will prove his innocence in the course of the legal proceedings.”
It can be recalled that Vhong experienced almost the same situation back in 2014 when he got involved in a brawl with businessman Cedric Lee and his friends as punishment for allegedly raping model Deniece Cornejo in her condo unit.
When asked about his opinion towards Noven’s case, the host found a hard time expressing his sentiments.
“Hindi rin ako… di ko ano, e. Ang hirap kasi e sa sitwasyon na yun dahil alam ko naman may pinagdadaanan din akong parang halos sa ganong sitwasyon na hindi totoo.”
However, Vhong hopes that the case will be resolved soon and that truth will prevail. He also said that Noven’s camp should do what is right.
“So sana lang, e, kung ano man yung pinagdaanan ni Noven, sana maayos at kung ano yung tama, magawan nila ng paraan.”
