The 35-year old singer revealed that ‘age gap’ is the reason why he decided to end up their three years relationship.
We really can’t say that age doesn’t matter, at least for Kris Lawrence.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH.com, R&B singer Kris Lawrence admitted break up with his non-showbiz girlfriend for three years. The 35-year old singer revealed why he decided to end up their relationship.
“Kaka-break lang namin last week. Hindi siguro ako swerte sa love life ngayon,” he told to PUSH.
“Focus muna sa work, saka bumili ako ng bagong bahay so kailangan kong magtrabaho,” he added.
Kris revealed that the ‘age gap’ between him and his younger ex-girlfriend was a big part on their break up.
“Siguro age difference. Mas matanda ako sa kanya, eh. Ten years ang gap namin. Kailangan mong habaan yung pasensya and I was aware of that but it came to the point na siguro naubos na,” he explained.
During their three year relationship, Kris admitted that he was always misunderstood by ex-lady love due to his work nature.
“Especially yung work ko, marami akong kasamang magaganda. Kasi itong mundo natin, di ba, ang daming magagandang babae, so, hindi niya naintindihan yon minsan.
“Yung mga sagot ko sa presscon hindi niya maintindihan. Yung work ko pag late at hindi ako maka-text nag-aaway kami don.
“Eh, ako naman, when it’s not worth fighting for ayokong pansinin kasi waste of energy lang, dagdag stress for no reason. And yon, when it came to the point where I said why am I stressing myself with this, ayoko na,” he further expounded.
What did he realize after the break-up?
“Parang mas okey yung taga-showbiz but not necessarily showbiz mismo. Pero dapat yung makaka-understand ng trabaho ko and dapat may trust,” he answered.
On the other hand, Kris shared that he has a good relationship with ex-girlfriend Katrina Halili. He also talked about that he is having more time to meet his daughter with the Kapuso Primera Kontrabida.
“We are very good right now, on good terms, we communicate almost every day. I see my daughter four to five times a week,” he shared.
“I’m supposed to because I’m the father. Kusa akong nagbibigay kasi hindi naman siya nagde-demand, eh. I am obligated at meron kaming pinag-usapan na ano, so binibigay naman yon, tapos pag may extra ako binibigyan ko pa siya ng extra,” he said about the financial support to his daughter, Katie.
