Jak Roberto currently stars in GMA Network’s drama-revenge series Contessa. He recently went topless on a scene during its pilot episode. Tagged as the network’s “Pambansang Abs,” Jak showed his toned abs as he did some target shooting at a row of empty aluminum cans.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Glaiza de Castro questioned Jak on why he went topless on the said scene.
Jak admitted that going topless wasn’t actually written in the script. He also had a fighting scene in the rain where he also went topless. However, going topless wasn’t written in the script. In a report from Ed de Leon’s Isyu at Banat, they pointed out that Jak Roberto seemed to go topless on every episode on Contessa and every personal appearance.
In the said article, Jak allegedly revealed that he would have a scene in a swimming pool whenever ratings would go down.
“Basta bumababa ang ratings namin ang kasunod na eksena sa swimming pool.”
In a separate article from PEP.ph, Jak shared his preparation on becoming a policeman for Contessa.
“Gusto ni Direk ng mga konting mannerisms na maangas. Minsan, nakakalimutan ko pero nadadala rin sa mismong script.”
Jak asked the viewers to watch out how his character will develop.
“Di ba, criminology, pero noong nalaman namin na may problema sa pulisya, parang nababayaran, na-turn off kaming mag ama. Yung tatay ko, hindi na ako pinatuloy sa pagpupulis.”
