Derek Ramsay formally says goodbye to TV5

  • Derek Ramsay ends his contract with TV5
  • He is currently engaging a per contract basis and working with a movie with Kapamilya Stars
  • The actor has a high probability of being a Kapamilya once more

Derek Ramsay is now signing out from TV5 and will work on a per-project basis.

He joined TV5 network last 2012, after working in ABS-CBN for seven years. He stayed in the Kapatid Network for six years and had several projects there, including lead roles.

He played the role of Kidlat (2013), Amazing Race (2012), Undercover (2013), Mac & Chiz (2015), For Love Or Money (2013), and Extreme Series: Kaya Mo Ba ‘To?

Before leaving, he didn’t miss the chance to extend his gratitude to TV5 by posting on Instagram, “Thank you TV5 for 6 great years. Thank you for trusting and believing in me. The projects and memories here will always be cherished. You always made me feel that I am truly family.”

Now, it’s time for the actor to level up and go freelance for the time being. There is a high probability that he will be coming back to ABS-CBN. Currently, he is working on a movie with Kapamilya stars Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino.

Derek Ramsay was one of the Kapamilya Stars who transferred to TV5 during the network’s debut. Along with him are Sharon Cuneta, Willie Revillame, Mariel Rodriguez, at Aga Muhlach.

Apparently, these artists came back home, except for Willie Revillame and Mariel Rodriguez.

Sharon Cuneta returned to ABS-CBN last 2015, and Aga Muhlach followed the following year. Mariel Rodriguez decided to be a housewife and take care of her children with the legendary action-star Robin Padilla.

Willie Revillame is currently in Kapuso Network and paying for his airtime.
