Marlo Mortel doesn’t deny the fact that he receives indecent proposals. However, he remains on saying no on proposals amid shouldering his mother’s medical bills.
He would rather use his talents in singing and acting and earn money through a proper and decent way.
Marlo also doesn’t keep it a secret that he struggles to see his mother in the advanced stage of breast cancer.
His mother also just had an open heart surgery the past year. Every week, she undergoes chemotherapy treatment in the National Kidney and Transplant Institute.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Marlo shared about his mother’s current condition. He never wanted to think of what could happen to her.
“Ayokong isipin. Hindi ko kaya, umaasa pa rin ako na gagaling siya.”
Marlo’s mother would continuously appreciate and express her gratitude towards her son. However, Marlo shared that she would constantly feel bad that his earnings were spent on her medicines.
“Nagso-sorry siya. Wala naman sa akin yun, basta gumaling lang siya. Ever since naman, kahit hindi pa siya na-diagnose, yung pera ko direct sa kanila ko ibinibigay. Everything, lahat ng suweldo, nakaipon sa bangko. Na-access nila.”
