Ryza Cenon previously starred as Georgia, the kontrbida role in a Kapuso series, Ika-6 Na Utos. She also now stars in a Kapamilya crime show, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
She also stars in the role of Aubrey Hidalgo, the first daughter of President Juan Policarpio (Rowell Santiago) and First Lady Marissa Hidalgo (Dawn Zulueta). Her character surprised her family last night for her younger brother’s birthday celebration.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Ryza shared that it had been a challenge for her to play her role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. She remains open to receiving a kontrabida role.
“Medyo mahirap siya, challenging siya kasi from mataas na Georgia biglang bagsak sa sweet lang, mabait na Aubrey… Of course, I am still open.”
Ryza also expressed her excitement on working with Maricel Soriano and Angel Locsin. She continued to express her excitement on an upcoming television series, The General’s Daughter.
“Excited ako di lang sa bagong show kungdi yung mga makakasama ko sobrang bigatin. Medyo nakaka-pressure pero nae-excite ako, alam ko kasi na may matutunan ako galing sa kanila. Nanlamig ako kasi pagpasok ko dun sa room, pagtingin ko sa mga cast, ‘Wow!’ Siyempre flattered ako na makasama dun. Sundalo ang role ko.”
One of Ryza’s excitement stems from her reunion with Angel as they had worked as siblings in GMA Network before.
“Yes, nagkita kami uling magkapatid kasi magkapatid kami lagi sa mga shows. Na-excite ako kasi ang tagal ko na siyang di nakita.”
Ryza became a Kapamilya for a month and looks content and happy in the short time.
“Sobrang blessed ko na tanggapin nila ako ng buo, mainit saka pamilya talaga yung pagtanggap nila sa akin.”
Ryza also revealed who she wants to work with.
“Dream? Kahit sino naman. Ang showbiz naman, ang liit lang ng mundo, gusto mong lahat ‘yan ma-try, ma-explore lahat.”
