Reviving one of the Philippines’ most celebrated superheroes, Coco Martin takes over with “Ang Panday” as it premieres on cable via Cinema One this Sunday (July 1).

The Primetime King stars as the epic hero Flavio Batungbakal III, the blood of Panday, who must scour different worlds to find the legendary sword and prove himself worthy of blade. He must learn to wield it and defeat the evil immortal Lizardo—portrayed by Jake Cuenca—in order to save the human race.

Coco made his directorial debut under his real name, Rodel Nacianceno, in the latest incarnation of Carlo J. Caparas’ masterpiece that became one of 2017’s biggest blockbuster films.

The action-fantasy flick premiered last Christmas as one of the eight official entries of the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival, where it received the FPJ Memorial Award for Excellence and notched Best in Visual Effects.

The film’s cast also includes Awra Briguela, Mariel De Leon, McCoy De Leon, Michael De Mesa, Julio Diaz, Jaime Fabregas, Ejay Falcon, Eddie Garcia, Agot Isidro, Elisse Joson, Mark Lapid, Ronwaldo Martin, Albert Martinez, Shantel Ngujo, Enzo Peloojero, Onyok Pineda, Jeric Raval, Gloria Romero, and Kylie Verzosa.

Watch Coco take over as the legendary “Ang Panday” this Sunday (July 1) at 7 PM on Cinema One, available on SKYcable Channel 56, SKYdirect Channel 19, Destiny Cable Analog 37 and Digital 56. For updates, follow @abscbnpr on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram or visit www.abscbnpr.com.
