Honorable Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista expressed his gratitude toward the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino. During the press launch for his book, Bistek@50: Life in Full Color, he insisted that he will remain a true friend of Kris.
He also thanked Kris for creating a huge impact in his life even if they didn’t end up together.

In the said book, Herbert also detailed the two times he planned on proposing to Kris in 2014 and 2017. However, his children and Kris’s beliefs became a hindrance for their relationship to succeed. According to Herbert himself, Kris had opened his eyes on options he actually had for his personal and political life.

Part of the book’s contents, he told his being a child star while growing up in the shadow of his director father, Herminio “Butch Bautista. He also shared the struggles of being a teen star in Bagets and other films.
It was in 1992, that he considered as a turning point in his life, when he started getting into politics.
