Bagani is on its final week and Enrique Gil has mixed emotions about the soap coming to an end.
Aside from the primetime series, Enrique Gil was also busy doing other showbiz-related projects which took a toll on him this year.
Enrique shared that he might rest for a bit after Bagani before working on a new project.
“Na-realize ko lang na parang I gave my whole life to ABS-CBN for 10 years, siyempre tumatanda na din ang mom ko, yung kapatid ko she’s grown up.
“I just felt I lost another few years with them, kasi I gave my whole life to showbiz, and I felt I can’t take that away from them and I wouldn’t change it for the world naman ‘di ba,” he said.
He admits that working non-stop has been exhausting.
“Sometimes it will bounce into you na ‘there’s more to life than just the work, family is more important.’ Kailangan mo magtrabaho para sa pamilya mo, pero sa ‘kin mas importante minsan na makasama mo ang pamilya mo, kahit konting oras lang.
“Siguro sa schedule lang, nagpatong-patong lang, it gets really tiring also. We’re fixing the schedule na hindi ko kaya yung super ratsada, compared to how many years na nagsimula ako. Sabi ko relax muna tayo konti ngayon.”
When asked how long he sees himself pursuing a showbiz career, he replied, “Hindi ko masabi, hangga’t masaya ako, hangga’t kaya ko pa dito pa din ako.
“I’m gonna be back in ASAP and do everything else after ‘Bagani,’ just need to relax.”
According to reports, Enrique has an upcoming solo project after Bagani. Details of the said project are yet to be announced.
