The first-ever ABS-CBN Ball that will feature the country’s biggest Kapamilya stars will happen on September 29.
More than fashion and glamor, the ABS-CBN Ball aims to celebrate friendship and togetherness. Most importantly, to practice their long-running advocacy of love that will help Filipino children.
The ABS-CBN Ball 2018 will help in the re-launching of Bantay Banta 163’s Children’s Village, which will serve as a home to abused, exploited, and neglected children.
The Children’s Village is located in Norzagaray, Bulacan which will be relaunched this coming December.
The Children’s Village will provide immediate care and holistic healing for the children. To nourish them and help them build a better future for themselves through physical and psychological means in a structured, therapeutic family-like environment.
This may also mark the end of the highly-anticipated annual “Star Magic Ball” by ABS-CBN where only “Star Magic” artists are being feted.
The first Star Magic Ball happened in 2007 and since then has become a part of ABS-CBN’s annual tradition and one of the most awaited events by the network.
Even stars who already transferred to GMA would still attend the event.
The last Star Magic Ball was held last year at Makati Shangri-La.
In 2011, GMA also hosted their very own GMA Artist Center Ball as response to ABS-CBN’s “Star Magic Ball.” Unfortunately, the event in 2011 became the first and only GMA Artist Center Ball. They have not produced a ball since.
