Turns out that it’s not just Regine Velasquez who’s excited to become a Kapamilya, but the ABS-CBN network as well.
During her contract signing, a red carpet was rolled out for her with a number of Kapamilya employees each holding a balloon while awaiting her grand entrance in the ELJ Building.
After seeing all this, the singer was all teary-eyed.
ABS-CBN welcomed her like a queen. The hashtag #SongbirdReturnsToABSCBN became the number 1 trending topic on Twitter that day.
Regine, after walking the red carpet, went directly to the contract signing ceremony. She was joined by her sister-manager Cacai Velasquez-Mitra, and ABS-CBN heads namely Cory Vidanes, Carlo Katigbak, Mark Lopez, Lauren Dyogi and Deo Endrinal.
Right after signing the contract, she shouted, “I am now a certified Kapamilya! Woooohhh!!!
“I’m very happy, excited. Overwhelmed right now.”
The Asia’s Songbird remarked that one of the reasons why she’s excited is because of the opportunity to work with ABS-CBN’s excellent roster of singers.
“So many great singers here like KZ, Angge, Sarah, Jonah, Morissette.”
Moreover, Regine is also looking forward to seeing some of Kapamilya’s prominent actors such as Daniel Padilla and Coco Martin. In fact, she wishes to appear as a guest in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
She also loves to get interviewed by Vice Ganda in “Gandang Gabi Vice.”
The Kapamilya network already lined up two projects for Regine Velasquez. One is to be part of “ASAP” and the other one is as a judge in an upcoming singing competition “Idol Philippines.”
