Ateneo, La Salle clash on UAAP Women’s Volleyball

  • The much-awaited rivalry match between De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers and Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Lady Eagles will happen early this season as they face each other on their opening assignments on Sunday (February 17) at 4 pm.
  • Don’t miss the opening of the UAAP Season 81 Women’s Volleyball Tournament, which will air LIVE from the FilOil Flying V Centre on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD with streaming available at sports.abs-cbn.com, iWant, starting Saturday (February 16).

UAAP’s biggest events is set to open on Saturday (February 16) as the much-anticipated UAAP Women’s Volleyball Tournament finally blasts LIVE on various ABS-CBN platforms on television, cable, and digital featuring a pair of exciting games bannered by the most-popular volleybelles in the land.

The University of the East (UE) Lady Warriors and the University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Maroons open things up at 2 pm at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan while the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws tangle with the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs at 4 pm on ABS-CBN S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD, and iWant. Highlights of the games will be available on ABS-CBN Sports’ YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited rivalry match between De La Salle University (DLSU) Lady Spikers and Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Lady Eagles will happen early this season as they face each other on their opening assignments on Sunday (February 17) at 4 pm. Prior to the main event, the Adamson University (AdU) Lady Falcons and the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses raise the curtains at the FilOil Flying V Centre at 2 pm.

Fans are looking forward to seeing their favorite players once more in the country’s most popular volleyball league that has produced volleyball superstars such as Alyssa Valdez, Rachel Anne Daquis, Aby Marano, and Jaja Santiago. Expected to showcase their own star power this year are the likes of Chiara Permentilla (AdU); Kat Tolentino (ADMU); Michelle Cobb (DLSU); Celine Domingo (FEU); Ivy Lacsina (NU); Rose Baliton (UE); Sisi Rondina (UST); and Isa Molde (UP).

Fans can also look forward to the action on ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant, which will provide livestreaming of the games to kick off the launch of iWant Sports. The one-stop section on the streaming service will house various sports content offerings about the UAAP, National Collegiate Athletic Association, Premier Volleyball League, Alab Pilipinas, Pinoy Pride, boxing events, national tournaments, documentaries and specials, as well as ABS-CBN S+A’s newscasts and lifestyle shows.
