Will Jessy Mendiola, girlfriend of actor-host Luis Manzano, be leaving the Kapamilya network? Is she also willing to leave Luis, her boyfriend, behind? The Kapamilya star is seldom seen on television, specifically in ABS-CBN, her home network, after her last film with Jericho Rosales, ‘The Girl in the Orange Dress.’
She made a statement last year that she is thankful for playing the lead role and to have this project in time when she was ready to leave showbiz.
“It’s been a wonderful experience playing Anna. And she’s very close to my heart kasi dumating siya sa panahon na ready na ako na talikuran ang showbiz. So thank you po sa pagbalik ng passion na iyon,” she said.
She planned leaving her career because she got sick in facing all the negativity that was given to her life and the criticisms she has been receiving for the past two years online. But her actor and host boyfriend Luis is still with her, guiding and supporting her in what she does, especially in her career.
“Kasi sa sobrang negativity sa buhay mo, gusto mo na lang talikuran lahat, pero he’s very supportive sa lahat ng decision ko. Noong sinabi ko na gusto ko na mag-give up, sabi niya, ‘Sige bumalik ka sa gusto mong gawin, susuportahan kita.’ Ganoon, part na din siya ng nagiging decision ko sa buhay,” she added.
But where is she now? Is she to transfer to another network (GMA Network) to leave all this behind?
She was last seen in the hit primetime show ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ last year, after which had not been seen regularly in her home network ABS-CBN. If this will be possible, this will be a big project for Jessy. Yet she will be separated, by network affiliation, with her boyfriend Luis.
