  • It is apparent that Carla Abellana has no upcoming projects, just yet.
  • She is hardly seen on television at of the moment.
  • Her last teleserye was ‘Pamilya Roces’ which aired from October 8 to December 14, 2018 only.
  • Her last film was ‘No Boyfriend Since Birth’ where she starred with long-time boyfriend, Tom Rodriguez.

It’s been a while since the Kapuso actress Carla Abellana had a teleserye or project on GMA Network. Her last television series was ‘Pamilya Roces’ which premiered on October 8 and lasted only till December 14, 2018.

She was known for her award-winning role as Eulalia “Lally” Agatep-Soriano in ‘My Husband’s Lover’ where she worked with his real-life flame Tom Rodriguez and Dennis Trillo.

Her first television project was the 2009 teleserye ‘Rosalinda’ where she played the titular role. She also starred in ‘Basahang Ginto’ together with Geoff Eigenmann. Aside from this she also starred in ‘My Destiny’ (2014), ‘Because of You’ (2015), ‘Mulawin vs. Ravena,’ and ‘I Heart Davao’ (2017).

Her last film was ‘No Boyfriend Since Birth’ and earned criticisms from the viewers for its ‘wordy structure’.

Despite her passion for the craft, her shows were usually short and just had one season unlike other GMA Network shows that kept on extending due to viewers’ requests.

Her sudden disappearance on GMA Network is saddening. There has no projects yet being mentioned from the Network.

Would the 32-year old actress consider transferring network if she will get any offer?

Artists are signing contracts to the network they wish to be with. But when the contract is terminated, it’s up to the artist to renew or sign with a different Network. This has been the flow of show business and artists can’t be blamed if they find new projects to work for and sign for new contracts in order to earn money.

Actually, many artists have decided to switch networks since 2018.

Derek Ramsay, Kiray Celis, Ryza Cenon, Kelley Day, Enzo Pineda, and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid – are few of the names that transferred from ABS-CBN to GMA Network and vice versa.
