Boxing Legend Manny Pacquiao is about to conquer the world stage again, this time via a Hollywood movie. This will be after he takes on the titular role in the General Miguel Malvar biopic.
Manny admitted that he liked the story of the character that he will portray.
“Mag-start pa lang yung shooting namin. Actually nung nilapit nila sa akin yan, sa dami ng mga nag-pu-propose ng movie na ganun, nung nilapit sa akin yung General Malvar, nagustuhan ko yung story kasi hero siya.”
Manny said it feels wonderful to be given the opportunity to be an inspiration to his fellow Filipinos by portraying such heroic character.
“Napakagandang makapagbigay ng inspirasyon sa ating mga kababayan… Kahit sino basta magampanan namin yung movie na true-to-life story na makapagbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga kababayan natin.”
In an interview at the Anta Philippines media launch last October 16, Pacquiao shared one thing he won’t be doing in the movie.
“Bawal lang sa akin yung may kissing scene, ganun.”
Manny also spoke about his upcoming international movie where he was handpicked for the role.
“May offer din ako, yung American Hollywood movie. Handpicked nila ako. Hindi pa naman siya start.”
Manny didn’t reveal any more details about this upcoming Hollywood movie, but he said he is looking forward to working with international actors.
