Is it true that the character of Arci Muñoz was killed off in Pamilya Ko because of her attitude?
In the afternoon teleserye Pamilya Ko, Arci played the role of Betty, Chico’s best friend and perhaps his true love, played by JM de Guzman.
Because of her big role in the teleserye, the death of Betty came as a shock to the audience.
Rumors arose that Arci comes to the set late and has frequently been absent because of her travels.
In an interview with Cinema News on March 4, 2020, Arci discussed the real reason she left Pamilya Ko.
According to Arci, she and Pamilya Ko‘s production were able to talk about her exit from the show.
She also added that one of the main problems that made her choose to leave the show was the taping schedules and has nothing to do with her “pasaway” attitude.
“Schedule ko kasi, parang it doesn’t permit parang M-W-F kasi ang taping namin, so yung schedule ko, right now I’m gonna be doing movies.
“Sabi ko, I have to choose: mga opportunities na mawawala over soap, ganyan, scheduling ang naging desisyon ko.”
She also shared that JM didn’t believe that she would be leaving Pamilya Ko but came to understand her decision.
“Tinawagan pa ako ni JM, ‘Totoo, aalis ka?’ Sabi ko, ‘Kasi JM, I just can’t pass on this kind of opportunities.'”
While Arci is sad about her departure from the show, she believes that it will give other Pamilya Ko cast members the opportunity to shine on the Kapamilya show.

The actress also confirmed that she has five movies lined up, two of which are independent movies she really wants to make.
