Vivian Velez reacts to Vice Ganda’s ‘paawa’ statement

Veteran actress and known die-hard Duterte supporter Vivian Velez has thrown some shade on Vice Ganda regarding the comedian’s statement about his job related to the ABS-CBN shutdown.

In a Facebook post, Velez could only say “Ooops na share…” to a post by Ahmed Paglinawan another known DDS propagandist.

https://www.facebook.com/vivianvelez888/posts/3450647251636589

In the post by Paglinawan, he slammed Vice Ganda’s statement as “paawa”.

He said there’s no law that says the government should make sure no Filipino should lose his job. Thus he labeled Vice’s statement as a mere drama.

“Nag law ako. Nagbasa ng saligang batas at maraming batas. Hmmmm. Pero wala ni isa sa kanila ang nagsasabing karapatan ng bawat tao na siguraduhin ng gobyerno na may trabaho sya habambuhay; kahit pa ang amo nya ay lumalabag sa napakaraming batas. Hmmmm.

“Wala rin namang binabanggit na may maraming sekretong karapatan ang mga lalaking kulay pink ang buhok. Hmmmm…

“Samakatwid, drama tong kinanginang to. Di ka mamamatay jan sa sinasabi mo, tonto. Baka mamatay ka sa kutos at batok ng mga taong nakokornihan sa istayl mong paawa.”

Vice’s statement talked about his job of making people laugh and happy through the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime.

However, with the non-renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise, there is no certainty if he can continue his job that according to him not only helps other people but his own life too.

Meanwhile, Vivian has been one of the vocal critics of ABS-CBN.

Even with her position as the Director of the Film Academy of the Philippines, the former sexy star was one of the first to celebrate the network’s shutdown and franchise denial.

Velez didn’t realize that the shutdown of ABS-CBN would not only affect its TV operation but also other aspects of the film industry through its Sagip Pelikula project.

According to the head of ABS-CBN Film restoration project Leo Katigbak which was shared by Bianca Gonzalez, without funding from ABS-CBN, the restoration project will have to be discontinued meaning other films which are on the pipeline can no longer be saved.

Velez’s beef with ABS-CBN might have started when the actress left the afternoon teleserye Tubig at Langis after figuring in a confrontation with Cristine Reyes during one of their shoots.

Velez accused Reyes of being rude and disrespectful but Cristine denied the accusation saying it was Velez who had the attitude problem. What might add to Velez’s ire to the network was the production team’s position which seemingly sided with Reyes.
