Unkabogable star Vice Ganda called out to the legislators who denied ABS-CBN a fresh broadcast franchise since it resulted in layoffs that compounded the current labor crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Vice Ganda states that the Lopez family may have lost ABS-CBN but it won’t affect them unlike the ordinary employees are the most affected by this tragedy,.
“Sa pagpapasara ng ABS-CBN mawawalan ng malaking pagkakakitaan ang mga Lopez. Pero sigurado akong di sila maghihirap. Napakayaman na nila para maghirap. Ang totoong magdudusa dito ay ang mga pangkarinawang manggagawa na nawalan ng trabaho. Sila ang maghihirap.”

So if the Congress believes that they have taken down the oligarchs, Vice Ganda said that they didn’t win and they got the wrong target to kill in this situation.

Vice Ganda has been vocal of his support for the network. Recently, the It’s Showtime host couldn’t conceal how much he was hurt by the decision of the lawmakers to kill ABS-CBN ‘s franchise proposal that even had to walk off the stage to compose himself the day after the network shutdown
It can also be recalled that while awaiting the decision of the Congress on the renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise, Vice Ganda was among those who joined the caravan to call on Congress to give ABS-CBN a chance to continue its work in the field of entertainment and public service.
