Kapuso star and host Ruby Rodriquez responded to a netizen who asked her why she has not been seen on the noontime show of GMA, Eat Bulaga!’
On Saturday, September 12, the 54-year-old host posted on her Instagram account a photo with the caption, “#ShareTheGaocSmile when u finally see the lady you miss and your with family Smile!!! Oral Hygiene is impt nowadays! Swipe left for exciting news

A netizen left a comment for Ruby asking her about her absence from the noontime show and she gave a cryptic reply to the fan.
“I miss you in Eat Bulaga Ms.Rubs. Babalik ka pa ba? Sina Pia, Ryan, Allan K, ryzza Mae nakaka pitch in pero ikaw Wala! Bat Ganon? 
” the netizen wrote.
The fan mentioned that Ruby’s co-hosts on the show have already put in an appearance like Ryan Agoncillo and Ryzza Mae Dizon.
While the other hits have already returned after the lockdown, Ruby has yet to appear on the show again.
Ruby replied saying, “sila tanungin mo.”
People mentioned that she was absent because she had undergone a stomach operation a few months ago. Some also speculated that she was just absent because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But it seems that the reason may be something else as she has already fully recovered.
Ruby has been part of the noontime show since 1991. She replaced host and radio/TV personality Helen Vela after the latter died of lymphoma in 1992.
It can be remembered that Ruby trended over her controversial question to fellow Eat Bulaga host Alden Richards. She posted a comment on Alden’s Instagram post saying, “Kilala mo pa ba ako?”
Her comment garnered various criticisms from the people who speculated that she was displaying her frustrations regarding her not being able to make an appearance on the noontime show. But, Ruby said that her comment doesn’t mean anything as she explained that it was just her and Alden’s way of joking around with each other.
“hahahahaha ano ba kayo, biruan namin lahat yun pagmatagal na di nagkikita. Ganyan lahat kami lalo na pag abroad. Meron pa do u still speak Tagalog?” she wrote in the comment section.
Recently, she flew to the US to be with her daughter Toni Aquino despite the COVID-19 pandemic. She has been apart from her daughter for about 6 months due to the pandemic.

Ruby also recently announced that her daughter, Toni, graduated from college at the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences.

On the other hand, netizens have been posting on social media about why Ruby still hasn’t made an appearance on Eat Bulaga and how they miss her on the show. However, some people speculated her joke with Alden might be the reason she hasn’t been asked to appear on the show yet.
