The pandemic forced almost all people to stay in their homes as lockdowns were imposed. While many are itching to go out and resume a normal routine, that’s not the case for Kapamilya couple Luis Manzano and Jessy Mendiola.
In an interview with LionhearTV, Luis admitted that both of them are germophobes and he is thankful that they’re like that. Because it helped them control their temptation to go out and have fun.
“…pareho kaming medyo germophobe. Kasi syempre yung ibang tao labas na labas na, mas nakokontrol naming dalawa kasi pareho yung personality namin na ayaw talaga namin na either magkasakit o maipasa yung sakit,” he said.
Other than being thankful that they were able to resist going out, the Kapamilya host is also thankful that his businesses were still operational.
“Thankful na kahit papaano yung negosyo ko, they’re still there. Essentials sila so nakakatakbo,” said Luis.
Being stuck inside their house, Luis made some realizations—that he really gained weight and he needed to get back into shape.
“Workout, kasi medyo right before the pandemic… kahit papano tinatry ko ibalik yung dating weight ko,” the host said.
For their plans next year, once the pandemic is gone, they plan to travel.
“…ang pinaka pinag-uusapan talaga namin is travel. Travel talaga. Whether it be somewhere sa Pinas or Japan, or ganun,” he said.
Being a proud boyfriend, Luis cannot help himself but share how proud he is of Jessy. He shared that his Haw Haw is also a good host which is far from her acting career.
“…ngayon kinukuha na rin syang host. In fact sya na ang host sa Puregold Playtime Panalo every Saturday yan, so ang galing,” he said. He later added, “Kasi napapanuod ko, ang galing. Magaling din na host. Na never nya naisip na mapupunta sya dahil sanay sya sa acting. Malayo na ito sa topic pero proud lang kasi ako sa kanya.”
Luis Manzano now has an online show on YouTube called LuckyNg Tulong wherein he and Long Mejia tackle unique problems of their guests and give advice. New episodes of the program will be uploaded every Saturday at 8 pm.
