Pia Magalona, the wife of late Filipino rapper Francis Magalona, responded to a netizen who criticized her and expressed his hate for her.
The same netizen mentioned that he is a big fan of Francis’s but is not fond of the late rapper’s wife, Pia.
On Friday, November 13, Pia slammed the viral photo of Environment Usec. Benny Antiporda with MMDA Asec. Celine Pialago wherein they posed at Manila Bay to show that the dolomite sand remains in the area despite the typhoon Ulysses.
The said photo was already deleted but netizens were able to save the post wherein it was captioned as, “Dolomite lang ang matatag.”
The photo garnered several reactions from the netizens which of some expressed their dismay over the insensitivity shown by Antiporda and Pialago. One of the netizens who criticized the post was Pia who said that Manila Bay was far from reaching the quality of Boracay beach.

She further defames Antiporda and Pialago saying, “Also, you guys are TRASH standing there.”

While Pia’s statement about the two gained support from other netizens who agreed with her, other netizens have also displayed their disapproval of her opinion and even turned to bash her.
One netizen mentioned that he is a fan of Francis Magalona but hates Pia.

The netizen managed to catch the attention of Pia who responded by sharing the songs of Francis that speaks of being taken advantage of by the people who hold power in the society.

The same netizen replied to the entrepreneur asking if Francis is a “dilawan” which is a term used by the Duterte administration to someone who expresses dissent towards them.

Pia answered the netizen by explaining that she and her late husband were not “dilawan.” She said that the netizen just failed to recognize that they chose the wrong president to support that’s why he is just trying to make her angry.

Francis Magalona was a rapper, songwriter, and TV personality who was tagged as the ‘most successful local Filipino rapper of all-time.’ He died in 2009, 7 months after being diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia.
He is known for his music that mostly speaks about Filipino resiliency and companionship. One of his famous songs is “Kaleidoscope World” where it speaks of the importance of showing humanity to people despite their differences in culture, race, and appearance.
Pia and Francis got married in 1985 and they had eight children. Pia worked as a business manager at her family’s business as well as co-owning a restaurant called Milky & Sunny Breakfast. She is currently helping to operate her late husband’s fashion company FrancisM Clothing.
