ABS-CBN journalist Christian Esguerra has been subjected to red-tagging following his interview with Bobo-famed lawyer Larry Gadon.
According to another Kapamilya journalist Kat Domingo, some netizens have started to red tag Christian using his photo with CPP founder Jose Maria Sison.

In 2018, Esguerra went to the Netherlands to interview and file a story about Joma Sison.
The report was about Joma’s impending homecoming following the victory of Rodrigo Duterte in the election and his invitation to Joma to come back home to continue peace negotiations.
Meanwhile, Esguerra thanked Domingo for the heads up pointing to the DDS (Diehard Duterte Supporters) as those who are spreading the maliciously dangerous propaganda as retaliation to his interview with Gadon.

Christian recently interviewed Gadon on his ANC program where they talk about the impeachment complaint filed against Supreme Court AJ and PET justice in charge Marvic Leonen.

In the interview, Gadon lost his temper when Christian connected the lawyer and his impeachment complaint to defeated Vice Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.
Gadon was infuriated after Christian called him a Marcos loyalist and questioned BBM’s obvious hand in the impeachment complaint he filed which was endorsed by Marcos’ cousin Ilocos Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba.
Gadon however kept on denying any Bongbong’s hand in the impeachment complaint.
Christian Esguerra is one of the fearless journalists who is not afraid to ask the toughest questions to his guest. His fearless journalism however has oftentimes touched the nerves of government supporters causing him to be criticized and bashed online.
However, his no holds barred journalism has also made him the 2020 Marshall McLuhan fellow.
The Marshall McLuhan Award is an annual recognition given by the Center for Media Freedom and Responsibility and the Canadian embassy in the Philippines to a Filipino journalist who has exhibited excellent work in the preceding year
In a statement, Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines Peter MacArthur lauded Esguerra’s “‘passion for the craft” and “proficient mastery to discover and explain the facts”.
“This year’s McLuhan fellowship goes to a journalist whose passion for the craft transcends new platform and whose proficient mastery to discover and explain the facts restricts the space for disinformation to thrive,” said MacArthur.
