ABS-CBN has yet to confirm ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ leading lady Yassi Pressman’s alleged exit from the longest-running teleserye.
News circulated in December that the actress is bound to leave the Kapamilya series topbilled by Coco Martin. According to PEP, Pressman had to leave the series as she is set do a project with VIVA films this year.
Rumors are also spreading saying that Jane de Leon will join the series as the Viva artist will leave.
In the pre-show of ABS-CBN’s 2020 Christmas special, Chinita Princess Kim Chui introduced Jane as the new leading lady of Coco Martin.
Jane will play as Police Captain Natalia “Lia” Mante who will be the new love interest of Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin).
To confirm these rumors, Philstar’s Jan Milo Severo tried to ask ABS-CBN regarding the alleged exit of Yassi in the Kapamilya series.
However, there was no response from the Network.
The production company, Dreamscape likewise did not answer back to his query.
Meanwhile, entertainment columnist Jun Lalin said that Jane’s appearance in the series is not yet sure as she is bound to start filming for Darna the movie.
Lalin also confirmed that Yassi will not join ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s’ lock-in taping starting January 10.
Pressman starred in the said series as Alyana Arevalo since the year 2016. She is a news reporter who later on became the sweetheart of Cardo, played by Coco Martin.
In their recent episodes, Alyana’s character is in a dilemma– slowly realizing the problem of her relationship with Cardo as she tries to hide her real feelings for Lito (Richard Gutierrez).
The Kapamilya series ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’, is one of the longest-running teleseryes since it began airing in 2016. It is also one of the Kapamilya shows affected by the shutdown. Currently, it is aired on the A2Z channel every weeknight.
