In an interview for their upcoming GMA Network teleserye, First Yaya, stars Cassy Legaspi and upcoming actor shared their giddy-filled stories in the set.
First, Cassy noted that she has always felt giddy or ‘kilig’ when working with Joaquin.
“But even sa rehearsals, people kept (on) saying: Ay, may chemistry ‘tong dalawa, and they always tease us, and for some reason, I get kilig because di ko alam kung bakit.”
As for Joaquin, he shared traits that drew him to his love team, Cassy.
“Makikita naman talaga sa attitude ni Cassy na she could really vibe with everybody, as soon as nag-uusap na kami I got more chill, ang friendly niya na tao. So welcoming, so kind, so loving to everybody.”
As a response, Cassy recalled the first time she saw Joaquin (JD) and listed the qualities she liked about the young male star.
“Maybe because we are comfortable with each other. The first time I saw JD was at a rehearsal with Studio 7. At first glance, I was interested in him; when I got to know him, yun pala kaming mutual friends!
“JD is more than what meets the eye, he is a very deep-thinking person, and he could be serious when he wants to be serious. And that is what I like about him,” said Cassy.
To intensify the kilig filled encounters between them, the two also shared an inside story while they were in the locked-in filming of their upcoming teleserye.
Joaquin revealed that he knows when Cassy is in a good mood.
“I know when cassy is in a good mood, obvious kay Cassy. Si Cassy easy book lang sya, kung sad sya, sad sya pero kung happy sya talagang she’s giggling, she’s always smiling.”
While Cassy revealed that she secretly checks up on Joaquin.
“May days na pagod sya, and when I see him. Actually I don’t know if JD knows. Parang, he doesn’t know this, eh. Di ba we’re in the same stand by area, so sometimes walang lang I check kung okay ba sya. And I ask kung kumain na ba si JD.”
As for the fans, Joaquin said he loved the Tiktok montage they created.
“I love it, kasi may mga nakita ko akong Tiktok na montage po puro pictures kami. Yung nakuha nila from production. Parang ang ganda ng mga gawa nila, nakikilig talaga sa amin. Which is good, and I love that,” said Joaquin.
Cassy shared, she felt happy to know that their love team made the fans happy. She also noted that both she and JD love each other’s company.
“Yeah, I guess, whatever makes them happy, yung ganon. Parang, it is also touching na to know that JD and I make people happy. Na, there is nothing fake. We genuinely love each other’s company,” shared Cassy.
Finally, Cassy shared a piece of advice from her parents about having a love team.
“They gave me advice about it way back. I think you know why. Parang wag masyadong seryosohin yun love team. Just have fun and enjoy each other’s company. And, friends lang muna, then, whatever happens, happens.”
Earlier, Cassy shared her locked-in experience on the set of their teleserye, First Yaya.
Cassy Legaspi and Joaquin Domagoso to star in the upcoming teleserye, ‘First Yaya’. Apart from their tandem, they play support to lead stars Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez. LA Madridejos will direct the said show and will air on GMA 7 soon.
