P-pop is growing popularly by the minute, but it does not receive the attention it truly deserves. Many groups started to popularize the genre that stands apart from the classic OPM.
Still, some Filipinos are mum about its growing reputation.
On Wednesday, February 18–the internationally-acclaimed singer-Broadway Diva Lea Salonga shared on her twitter–the music video of the P-pop group Alamat.
According to Salonga, the MV was fabulous.
Whoaaaaa, this is FABULOUS!!! @Official_ALAMAT https://t.co/ENRz0Baqbo

Nevertheless, the singer is a known K-pop fan of the Korean group BTS. In one of her tweets on February 10, she revealed that the Korean boyband saved her mental health.
BTS helped save my mental health.

But when it’s time for her to answer and give her thoughts regarding the emerging Filipino groups such as SB19 and BGYO, Salonga did not provide an answer.

She did not even answer a Netizen’s query if there is a chance that she could do a cover of SB19‘s Hanggang sa Huli.

On her latest tweet regarding her admiration for the beautifully-done music video of Alamat, will she finally speak her mind regarding the rising P-pop genre and groups?
Alamat is a Filipino nine-member, multilingual boy group. The members hail from different parts of the Philippines, creating a diverse and unique style of singing. Alamat debuted on February 14 with their song kbye and is under Viva Artists Agency.
