Should the public expect a new clothing line designed and made by Vice Ganda herself?
During the media conference of Tawag ng Tanghalan, Vice Ganda revealed her new project for 2021.
At the height of Filipino singer Olivia Rodrigo‘s hype recently, she is recognized internationally for her latest hit single, Driver’s License–Vice took a question if she ever dreamt of being recognized internationally.
“Actually lately lang ilang nights ago, meron talaga akong sinasabi na ipe penetrate ko and sarili ko sa international scene pero hinde sa performing.
“Bigla kong gustong maging designer nung isang gabi kaya kinabukasan kahapon nakipag meeting kaagad ako gusto kong magbukas ng sarili kong label.”
The Unkabogable Star believes that his [particular] plan will earn recognition in the international scene since 2021, digital is the new market place.
“Kaya sabi ko gusto kong mapenterate yung international scene since digital naman na tayo, online, online na parang equal footing for everyone eh parang kaya kong lumaban.”
Due to his excitement, he immediately called a team to discuss his plans for his new upcoming brand. Should the public expect a new clothing line designed and made by Vice Ganda herself?
“Kaya nakipagmeeting ako kaagad kaya cli-ne-claim ko lagi sisikat ‘tong brand na ‘to, internationally isusuot ‘to ng mga Kardashians.”
When he got asked about his thoughts on Filipinos being recognized internationally because of singing–he is happy about the spotlight that Filipino singers are getting.
“Sa puntong ito mahalaga siyang achievement for now kase the Filipino needs every kind of light right now. Kahit anong makapagbibigay ng liwanag sa atin mga Pilipino kailangan natin yun.
“Yung achievement na yun nakakataas ng moral may nababsa tayong magagnda balita, balitang nakakapag ngiti sa atin balitang masarap pag usapan, magandang balita eh for the longest time sana araw araw magandang balita ang mababasa natin.”
To date, this isn’t Vice Ganda’s first self-made brand. In 2017 Vice successfully launched Vice Ganda Cosmetics. It offers Pinay Beauty Junkies an affordable alternative to high-end brands without sacrificing quality.
Ever since the idea came to him, Vice said he was working nonstop to make his dream come true. The It’s Showtime host proudly claimed that his products could compete with foreign brands that carry a much higher price tag.
