After the consecutive successful release of his two movies, ‘PAGLAKI KO GUSTO KONG MAGING PORNSTAR’ and ‘TILILING’, writer and director Darryl Yap is definitely on a roll this year as he releases another VIVAMAX ORIGINAL, “KUNG PWEDE LANG”. This new comedy series stars Carlyn Ocampo, member of international girl group Z-Girls, and Rosanna Roces, fresh from the movie Paglaki Ko Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar.
Based on the viral online rant series of Darryl Yap’s Vincentiments which has 320 million views as of to date, “KUNG PWEDE LANG” is the story of the Panting family, a close-knit family full of life but more of life’s hassles and troubles.
Especially to Precious (Carlyn Ocampo), the middle child, breadwinner, and “Yes Girl” of the family who is too kind to say no to anything her family asks of her. But until when can she keep on giving and working selflessly for her family? Until when can she convince herself that she’s fine?
Precious Panting’s family is Princess (Rosanna Roces), the problematic mother; Paquito (Dennis Padilla), the gambler father; Lola Baby (Dexter Doria), the hot-tempered grandma; Prince (Bob Jbeili), the unemployed eldest brother; and Penelope (Loren Mariñas), the youngest sister. They all have their own troubles with work, annoying neighbors, money and life in general. The 8-episode series will let us get into minds and frustrations of Precious and the whole Panting family, just like the viral online rant series that we can very much relate to.
Because of its relatability, the online KPL shorts always strike up banter among its viewers. Now with the full “KUNG PWEDE LANG” series, viewers will see more characters and situations they can relate to and laugh with.
