Asialink Finance Corporation (AFC), one of the Philippines’ leading non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), concludes 2025 with 6% growth in loan disbursements, amounting ₱16.6 billion across its loan portfolio. The company’s strong performance and consistent support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) have earned the trust of additional funders, who joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) credit facility through accession.
Building on a record year of growth and expansion, Asialink Finance Corporation’s strong performance earns additional backing through the Asian Development Bank, bringing its total credit facility to $165 million to support MSMEs nationwide in 2026.
The new $50 million loan addition brings the total facility to $165 million, providing AFC with expanded resources to further empower MSMEs across the country in 2026. With multiple industry recognitions, the opening of over 250 branches nationwide, and the successful launch of its Women’s Access to Inclusive Support (WAIS) Loan, AFC enters the new year poised to scale its impact for Filipino entrepreneurs.
“2025 has been a monumental year for Asialink. From expanding our network to reach more Filipinos, launching new products tailored to the evolving financial needs of our communities, and receiving prestigious industry awards, each milestone reflects our unwavering commitment and passion to serve Filipinos better and fuel their aspirations,” said Samuel Cariño, President and CEO of AFC.
Nationwide expansion and industry recognition
This year marked a new phase of expansion for AFC as it surpassed 250 operational branches across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, serving a total of 19,265 MSMEs as of December 2025. This milestone reinforces the company’s mission to bring accessible and reliable financing closer to every Filipino—especially MSMEs, self-employed individuals, and communities outside metropolitan centers.
Among its notable partnerships were collaborations with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Mega International Commercial Bank Co. Ltd. (Mega ICBC), and Standard Chartered Bank (SCB)—strategic alliances that strengthen Asialink’s global network, enhance financial innovation, and expand its capacity to deliver inclusive and sustainable solutions.
AFC also received significant industry accolades in 2025, including honors at the International Finance Awards and Asian Banking & Finance Awards, recognizing the company for fast growth, accessibility, customer convenience, and impactful financial services. These awards affirm AFC’s leadership in the lending sector and its dedication to delivering meaningful progress for Filipino borrowers.
Empowering women entrepreneurs through the WAIS Loan
A key milestone in 2025 was the launch of the WAIS Loan, introduced during AFC’s 28th anniversary. This product was designed to empower women entrepreneurs seeking practical, flexible, and fast financing solutions. Early adoption has shown strong demand, with more than 2,600 women-led MSMEs served since its launch in July 2025, signaling its potential to become one of AFC’s flagship offerings in the coming years.
The campaign included the official launch of Jolina Magdangal as ambassador, leveraging her influence to humanize the product, connect with Filipina entrepreneurs, and reinforce the WAIS Loan’s role in addressing the gender financing gap.
As AFC gears up for 2026, the company is set to diversify its loan offerings and expand its nationwide footprint, targeting less than 300 branches by year-end. Meanwhile, the additional $50 million from the ADB credit facility will provide crucial resources to further empower MSMEs across the country, creating more opportunities and supporting their vital role in driving economic growth, generating jobs, and fostering inclusive development.
With its growing nationwide presence, strategic backing from the ADB, and a clear vision for the future, AFC enters 2026 ready to continue scaling its mission: to provide smarter, more accessible, and more empowering financial solutions for every Filipino.
