The people did not even believe his recent revelation that he tested positive for COVID-19.

Roque even earned more flak when he confirmed that he had 35 swab tests before testing positive for the virus.
Netizens were disappointed with the ‘mass testing’ privilege given to government officials, including Roque. It is unfair how someone like him gets to have unlimited tests while an average Filipino struggles to get one.
Having 35 swab tests while many Filipinos could not readily afford a single one is vulgar. Tapos sa isang govt official pa na walang silbi? Sinayang lang ang finite resources.

Roque’s previous lies included the matrix’s release– the alleged transaction between ABS-CBN and Lehmann Brothers. The state-run bank Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) denied it.
Also, when he tried to maintain the ‘neutrality’ of President Duterte regarding the ABS-CBN franchise issue, the public eventually found out that he lied.
According to him, Duterte encouraged the lawmakers to vote according to their will. The truth came out when Duterte threw tirades against ABS-CBN, saying that even though the Network can secure a franchise, he will do everything to stop it from airing.
As they say, when one breaches trust–it is hard to undo everything affected by such. It’s like the ‘boy who cried wolf’–Netizens grow tired of deceits. Many did not buy Roque’s recent narrative.
