Actress AJ Raval revealed the changes she went through when she entered showbiz.
In the media conference for the upcoming Vivamax mystery love story film, Death of A Girlfriend, Raval first said she learned about the things she shouldn’t do in public.
“Marami pong nabago sa akin katulad nung mga, meron pong mga hindi dapat gawin in public.”
She then revealed that her parents didn’t support her showbiz career at first but eventually came around.
“Reaction naman po ng parents ko sa totoo lang po, hindi po sila naging supportive nung una. Pero ngayon naman po hinahayaan naman po nila ako.”
As for her recent sexy photos on Instagram, Raval said that her father, Jeric Raval, negatively reacted to the posts and removed them from her social media.
“Naging reaction po niya, nagalit po siya, kaya po ngayon deleted na po ‘yung post ko. Pinaalis po.
“Nagalit po siya kasi, pinagusapan na po namin na magpapa-sexy po ako kapag work. Kung work lang po. Pag kailangan.”
After that, Raval reveals that she’s ready to take on the remake of the iconic erotic thriller, Scorpio Nights.
“Sa totoo lang po gagawin ko po ‘yung remake ng Scorpio Nights. And ayun naman po kaya ko naman po gawin. Kung kailangan pong gawin.”
For her career as an actress, Raval said she was inspired by her father to become an actress. She added that her father eventually supported her career but reminded her to set limitations.
“Sa totoo lang po gusto kong mag-artista kasi nakikita ko sa kanya mismo, nakikita nya rin po na naniniwala sa akin ang Viva family, sila Boss. And wine-welcome naman ako ng mga tao, kaya parang nagiging okay na rin para sa kanya. Lagyan ko lang daw ng limitations.”
As for stepping out of her father’s shadow, Raval said that she didn’t want to step out and acknowledged that her father’s action star status helped her enter showbiz.
“Ayaw ko pong magstep-out sa Dad ko gusto ko nandun lang po siya palagi. Syempre, because of him po, hindi ako nahirapan pumasok sa showbiz. Kaya ayaw ko rin pong mawala ‘yun.”
Raval finally said she wants to become an action star just like her father.
“Kung ako po yung masusunod, gusto ko po talaga mag-action star katulad ng tatay ko syempre. So ‘yun, sana mabigyan po ako ng chance na makagawa rin ng movie na action.”
AJ Raval is the daughter of the iconic Pinoy action star Jeric Raval and actress Alyssa Alvarez. She previously starred in the Viva Films movie, Paglaki ko, Gusto kong Maging Pornstar.
To date, Raval takes on another Viva offering under Vivamax. The mystery love story movie directed by Yam Laranas, Death of a Girlfriend. Alongside Raval is actor Diego Loyzaga. The film premieres this April 30, 2021, and will be available through KTX.PH, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, SKY PPV, and Vivamax.
