Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson admitted that he felt challenged in doing steamy scenes with actress Yam Concepcion for their new teleserye, Init Sa Magdamag.
In the virtual media conference for the highly anticipated ABS-CBN Star Creatives’ teleserye, Init sa Magdamag, Anderson recounted working with Concepcion in the movie, Won’t Last A Day.
“Nagkasama kami before sa isang movie namin ni Sarah, pero yun nga one day shoot lang or two day shoot lang si Yam doon so mabilis lang.”
Then, Anderson admitted that it was challenging to portray the steamy scenes in the teleserye. However, Concepcion’s passion and professionalism made things easier.
“Yung unang blocking namin, kasama yung scenes na naka-brief lang ako. Kasama yung scenes na nasa batis kami. Nasa falls kami.”
“It was a challenge syempre wala kaming pinagsamahan. I mean hindi kami, we’ve never had a conversation or ano. But gusto ni Yam yung ginagawa nya eh.
“She’s very passionate sa trabaho nya eh. Very professional. So pag ganon yung kasama mo, hindi sya mahirap.”
He also mentioned that Director Raymund Ocampo made him feel comfortable during the steamy scenes.
“Yung mga directors namin, they’re very professional kahit si Direk Raymund, bumaba sya pumunta sya sa set. Nag-brief din sya. So alam ko kung bakit nya ginawa yan, para maging komportable ako.”
As for the teleserye itself, Anderson said that he didn’t expect the praise they received when they released the trailer for Init Sa Magdamag.
“Yung views, yung pagtanggap sa amin, its something na hindi ko na-expect. Hanggang ngayon eh, hindi rin ako makapaniwala.”
“I think yung pinaka magandang comment nagustuhan ko is “Quality,” yung ” Wow ang Ganda nito.”
Then Anderson reacted to people coining him as one of the most desirable actors in the industry. Anderson said he’s flattered, but he prioritizes portraying the character and story of his current project.
“Syempre nakaka-flatter talaga sya na may mga gusto rin sayo. But, siguro by now, ang pinakaimportante sa akin is makapagbigay ako ng magandang character and magandang kwento. And I think kahit papaano kaya ako nag-last sa industriya na ito dahil iyon yung pinaka priority ko.”
