Comedy actor and talent manager Ogie Diaz reacted to netizens pushing Glaiza de Castro’s voice into the main lead Alexandra Trese of Netflix’s animated series Trese.

In his vlog, Diaz said that these netizen reactions give good publicity to the series.

Diaz also commented on people who criticized Soberano’s voice acting, noting that Netflix was the one who approached them.

“Sabi ko nga, we really cannot please everybody.

At the end of the day, tapos na po ‘yun. Natapos na po ni Liza.”

Netizens used De Castro’s voice clips from Encantadia and inserted them into the trailer of Trese.

De Castro also commented on the netizen’s posts, expressing her appreciation and pride over the Filipino representation brought by the animated series.

“As much as I appreciate the people rooting for me and for appreciating my work, I can’t help but feel more proud that Filipino culture is being represented on a global platform.”

She also congratulated the team behind Trese.

“Congratulations to Team Trese and thank you for your hard work!”

Based on a Filipino graphic novel of the same title, Trese became available for streaming on Netflix on June 11 and trended on social media. Actress Liza Soberano dubbed the Filipino voice of the main character in the animated series.
