Kapuso star Andrea Torres admitted that she felt the pressure by her GMA Network contract renewal.
During the media conference for her contract renewal, Torres said she used the pressure to improve herself as an artist.
“Napi-feel ko po talaga ‘yung pressure all the time naman. Pero ginagamit ko s’ya para makapagbigay pa ng mas maganda pang trabaho, ng mas maganda pang outcome. Kasi ‘yun nga kung ano man ‘yung inassign sa akin syempre kailangan magampanan ko ‘yun.
“Pero ang laging nasa isip ko eh, pano ko pa mapu-push. Para naman sa bukod sa masaya sila. Kaya ko pa silang mas pasayahin pa. ‘Yung ganon.”
She then added that her renewal with the Kapuso Network makes her happy.
“So very happy po ako. Very happy ako na Kapuso pa rin ako. Na winelcome pa rin nila ako. At na-feel ko ‘yung pag-welcome nila sa akin, napaka-warm talaga. Hindi ko ine-expect from our bosses.”
Earlier in the media conference, she recalled her growth with GMA Network.
“‘Yung unang soap ko po parang naninigas ka pa. Parang lahat ng ginagawa mo kalkulado. Natatakot ka pa na parang lahat ino-over think mo.
“Pero ngayon nandun ka na sa mas nae-enjoy mo po kasi parang mas panatag ka na sa sarili mo. And then, mas malalim na rin po ‘yung pananaw mo sa mga story, sa mga tao.”
Torres renewed her contract with GMA Network on July 16. Aside from that, she joins the Kapuso network’s upcoming teleserye Legal Wives with Dennis Trillo, Alice Dixson, and Bianca Umali, which airs on July 26.
