Herlene ‘Hipon Girl’ Budol revealed why she labeled herself as ‘bobita’ (foolish).
In a trending episode of Toni Talks on YouTube, Toni Gonzaga asked Herlene why she used to call herself bobita.
“Hindi ako makakaintindi masyado ng maayos,” she replied.
When asked about her performance in school, she said that she used to have a passing grade of 75%.
“Minsan bumababa pa yun, nahihirapan na ako sa sarili ko.
“Kung naging 80 na yun, perfect na ako sa sarili ko.”
That became the reason why she got hesitant to join pageants at first but, because of the encouragement of her mother, she pursued in following the footsteps of her older sister who is a beauty pageant titleholder.
Her towering height and sexy figure made her a potential contender for beauty pageants.
She only joined a beauty pageant once where she was crowned because of her winning answer.
Accordingly she was asked, “Kung ikaw ay sagot sa isang makabuluhang katanungan, anong tanong ito at bakit?”
“Kung ako man po ay magiging sagot sa isang makabuluhang katanungan, ang tanong na ito ay ‘Sino ang karapat dapat na manalo sa gabing ito?’
“Aba syempre, ako.”
In the same interview, ‘Hipon Girl’ also shared how she joined Wowowin as host.
She was a contestant of the said show and because of her bubbly personality and humor, her interview with host Willie Revillame went viral online with 35 million views.
That is why, though she lost in the said game show, she was called to come back after two days as per the request of fans.
At first, she was just called to guest in the show, but since the viewers love to see her in the show, she eventually became one of the regular hosts of Wowowin.
