Max Mango conducted a refreshment drive benefiting around 200 individuals, including public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers, riders, and laborers along N. Domingo in San Juan during Labor Day (May 1).

The outreach, held at the brand’s N. Domingo branch, was designed to provide relief amid rising temperatures and ongoing economic challenges, while also recognizing the contributions of frontline workers who continue to serve daily.
The initiative was led by Max Mango CEO Jochell Quinones, also known as the “Mango Queen,” together with the brand’s team.
According to Executive Associate Sophia Martinez, the activity was rooted in gratitude toward both loyal customers and the labor force.
“Marami tayong mga laborer na nagta-trabaho pa rin kahit Labor Day… Para lang makabawi kahit papaano, magkaroon sila ng refreshment sa araw na ito,” Martinez said.
Organizers emphasized that the goal was to provide not just physical relief, but also a sense of support during difficult times.
“Sana na-refresh sila at maramdaman nila na kasama nila kami lalo ngayon panahon ng crisis. Nakaka-init ng ulo ang panahon, pero dapat fresh lang,” they added.
Recipients expressed appreciation for the free refreshments, noting that the gesture offered much-needed relief from the heat and a brief pause from demanding work conditions.
The activity underscored how small-scale, targeted outreach efforts can deliver immediate benefits to communities that often remain underserved.
Beyond its beverage offerings, Max Mango highlighted its broader mission of creating livelihood opportunities and supporting entrepreneurship among Filipinos.
The company is now exploring the possibility of making similar outreach programs a recurring effort, particularly during key occasions such as Christmas, Mother’s Day, and future Labor Day celebrations.
“Saludo kami sa inyo dahil nakakayanan ninyong magtrabaho araw-araw para kumita at mapaghandaan ang kinabukasan ng pamilya,” Martinez said in her message to workers.
