Kapuso actress Gina Alajar is asking for viewers to patiently wait for the Book 2 of the hit series, Prima Donnas as there were delays in its production.
In the virtual press conference for the upcoming Kapuso teleserye Nagbabagang Luha, July 22, the actress said:
“Marami po talagang nagtatanong sa kanila, at sana po mag-intay pa sila ng kaunting, kaunting panahon nalang…kaunting-kaunti nalang.”
Alajar was then asked if the show had something to do with the delay in the production of Prima Donnas‘ new season.
She replied by saying, “Partly true, pero hindi naman ganoon talaga. Hindi naman kasalanan ng Nagbabagang Luha, kasi nagkaroon ng ECQ eh diba?”
Alajar explained that because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), shows like Nagbabagang Luha and Prima Donnas were affected in terms of their production.
“Nung nagsara ulit, namove din ang schedule ng Nagbabagang Luha kaya parang domino effect, na-move din,” explained the actress.
She also clarified that her participation in Nagbabagang Luha as a director and as an actress had nothing to do with Prima Donnas‘ delay.
“So hindi naman dahil inintay ako for Nagbabaga kaya hindi makapagumpisa.”
Alajar then said that they will start taping Prima Donnas as soon as they are finished with Nagbabagang Luha.
“Of course, kailangang matapos muna kami na nasa lock in bago kami mag-umpisa ng Prima Donnas,” she further said.
In the meantime, Alajar is busy preparing for Prima Donnas, and hopefully, by August 16, the team of the most-awaited Kapuso series would soon start its production.
“But now, we’re full blast na po. Nagpe-prepare na kami. Mag-start na kami mag-ocular, mag-start na… we have 8-weeks script po, yung gan’yan, tuluy-tuloy na. Then magla-lock in na kami—kung walang pagbabago, by August 16… parang gano’n.”
For now, Alajar is promoting Nagbabagang Luha, an adaptation of the hit classic movie that starred Lorna Tolentino, Gabby Concepcion, Richard Gomez, and Alice Dixson.
The series stars Glaiza de Castro, Rayver Cruz, Mike Tan, Karenina Haniel, Claire Castro, and Gina Alajar herself.
The cast also includes Alan Paule, Archi Adamos, Myrtle Sarrosa, Royce Cabrera, Ralph Noriega, Karenina Haniel, Bryan Benedict, and Jaclyn Jose in a very special role.
