More viewers will get a chance to watch the revenge drama series “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,” which captured the hearts of Filipinos with its plot’s twists and turns and acclaimed performances as it is now available on Netflix with the international title, “The Law of Revenge.”
Starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Iza Calzado, Sam Milby, and Maricel Soriano, it was also the first ABS-CBN series to premiere and be shown fully on digital via Kapamilya Online Live on Facebook and YouTube as well as the first series to air on the Kapamilya Channel.
Jodi plays Marissa who takes the fall for the accidental crime committed by her best friend Ellice, played by Iza, in exchange for a huge sum of money that could help her family get out of poverty. But Marissa suffers an ordeal behind bars so great she blames Ellice for her misfortune. As she gains her freedom, she vows to take back everything in Ellice’s life.
Aside from Jodi, Iza, and Maricel, the cast also includes Joseph Marco, Rita Avila, Simon Ibarra, Grae Fernandez, and Kira Balinger.
The series was a staple on social media with its intense confrontation scenes going viral and becoming top trending topics. It also became one of the most-watched shows on the iWantTFC. The show eventually aired on several more broadcast channels, including A2Z Channel 11 and TV5, alongside other ABS-CBN programs.
Produced by JRB Creative Production, “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” premiered on August 17 and ran for two seasons.
