Filled with five refreshing but emotive summer tracks, ONF is prepared to cool the heat with their summer album.
If ONF’s last two albums were about youth and freedom, then this new summer album brings yet another immersive message about being always together no matter the circumstances – and in ONF’s universe it’s the return of the ice age. Each of the songs represent different summer stories, containing ONF’s distinctive vocal styles and expressions. SUMMER POPUP ALBUM [POPPING] first begins with the refreshing and energetic Funky Disco title track ‘Popping’ that immediately makes you want to dive into summer. The second track, ‘Summer Poem’ is based upon Bosa Nova rhythm delivering a poem that sings of “you and I from our youth”, while the track ‘Summer Shape’ is about how each summer comes in different shapes and form to people. Then, ‘Dry Ice’ introduces a contrasting mood not only sonically but also lyrically, and finally ends with ‘Summer End’, a city pop track that evokes the feeling of nostalgic summer as the hot season comes to an end.
ONF has risen to popularity through their eye-catching and compelling storytelling performances presented on Mnet’s ‘Road to Kingdom’ in 2020.
