On September 27, Hoy Love You Cast Joross Gamboa, TJ Valderrama, Yamyam Gucong, Pepe Herrera, Dominic Ochoa shared their opinions about exes being friends during an exclusive interview with RAWR Nation.
TJ said that it depends on the situation, but he’s open to working with his ex.
“Depende naman po ‘yan sa sitwasyon niyo kasi. May mga exes po kasi na wala nang balak makipagkita sa isa’t-isa. Mayroon namang professional na kayang makipagdaupang palad sa kanilang ex na walang problema.
“Para po sa akin kasi, kapag tapos na tapos na. Pero wala akong problema makipagtrabaho sa aking ex.”
Pepe, on the other hand, noted that he became friends with his exes.
“Sa akin po depende po kung paano nagtapos eh. For example, sa akin po naging ‘yung mga naging ex ko po. ‘Yung mga kaibigan ko po. ‘Yung mga nabibilang na naging ex ko, naging kaibigan ko po lahat.
“Sa akin po, kung kaya po niyong ma-retain ‘yung friendship, mas maganda.
“Nanghihinayang lang ako doon sa mga pwedeng maging limitations. For example, like doon sa mga ibang mag-ex na nasa same company pero hindi pwedeng magkatrabaho.”
Yamyam clarified that he has no problem about exes being friends.
“Wala namang problema sa mga ex natin. Ang importante magkakaintindihan. Tsaka dapat happy lang ‘yung ending ‘yung relationship niyo dati. Tsaka magkaibigan pa rin kayo.”
Joross explained that exes could be friends, but there should be some boundaries.
“Depende na lang sayo kung ano ‘yung definition mo ng friends eh. For me naman, in real life, sa akin kasi, as much as possible. For example ‘yung sa amin ni Rox, special naman ‘yun dahil magkatrabaho kami. We’re friends at work, pero after noon wala na.
“Hindi naman siya ‘yung hindi kami okay. Okay kami pero alam kasi namin ‘yung boundaries namin.”
Dominic added that there should be no grudges between exes and that they could be friends as long as they respect each other’s relationships.
“All my exes naman, I make sure na wala kaming grudge sa isa’t isa. I make sure na mahal pa rin namin ‘yung isa’t isa.
“I try to be sensitive na lang in the situation when I see my exes or when I message them. Kasi may instance na magkatrabaho kami at pinagselosan ‘yun.
“That’s why I try to be extra sensitive with ‘yung mga ganyang mga bagay. Even if we’re friends, even if alam na naming mag-asawa na mahal namin ang isa’t isa. But we just respect each other’s pagmamahalan.”
