Marlo Mortel is now back to Star Magic after months of speculations that the actor will have a network transfer.
Mortel had a guest appearance in the Kapuso talk show Mars Pa More in August 2021. This sparked the issue that the actor is planning to transfer to the GMA network.
In his virtual conference for his new single “Bituin” on August 4, 2021, he also mentioned that he still can’t confirm anything about his position in Star Magic.
“Ayan, I can’t really tell pa,” he said.
However, in an exclusive interview with Mortel, he confirmed that he is officially back with Star Magic.
He said that his absence from the management company last year was simply because he is still trying to find himself.
“I’m happy because I think sapat na ‘yung time na I took a break with Star Magic last year.
“Walang anything bad na nangyari, it’s just that I wanna find myself– music-wise, as an artist,” said Mortel.
The 28-year-old actor-singer noted that he had already found himself and was ready to sing and act again.
“Nahanap ko na siya, I discovered who I am as a person so I’m ready to do what I love the most which [are] singing and acting,” he said.
Marlo Mortel is a Star Magic talent for about 9 years now. He is best known for his role in Kapamilya morning drama, Be Careful with My Heart (2012).
He recently signed with Polyeast Records and released his new single “Bituin.”
He said that the song is about promoting mental health.
“It’s basically about mental health talaga. It’s about finding your inner joy and happiness. Also, finding your purpose in life,” he said.
Mortel’s new single is currently available on all streaming platforms.
