On November 5, Kapuso artists Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara admitted about their “relationship” is leveling up.
During the media conference for I Left My Heart in Sorsogon, Mavy admits feeling kilig on their relationship.
“Syempre kami ni Ky, matagal na naging kaibigan, three years na. Syempre may mga feelings na nade-develop. As for now, syempre each and everyday nagle-level up ‘yung relationship namin at yung bonding namin. You can’t help but think na sometimes na nakikilig ka na. Di na ‘yung tipong friendship lang alam mo may direksyon na that’s different from friendship.
“Each and every day, I’m just thankful na naging close ako kay Ky, and I’m really grateful and happy na I have such a great relationship with Kyline.”
Mavy then said that he believes in courting, implying his current courtship to Kyline.
“‘Yung rule talaga ni Mama tsaka ni Papa sa akin, kung interested ako sa isang babae, iko-court ko talaga. So ganon, I believe in that. Ako mismo talaga ‘yung nagko-court at si Kyline na ‘yung sumagot diyan kung paano ako mag-court.”
Alcantara described Legaspi as a gentleman, adding that she enjoys his company.
“I really enjoy his company, like from the bottom of my heart. I really enjoy his company. Not just as friends and as– we don’t know in the future.
“He’s really a gentleman, like super, sa lahat ng nakilala ko, siya talaga ‘yung pinaka-gentleman sa lahat ng ‘yun. Hindi sa lahat ng nanligaw sa akin, pero sa lahat ng lalaki na nakilala ko, except of course, from my loved ones or family members.”
She even detailed how he treats her on the set of their teleserye.
“Siya talaga ‘yung pinaka-gentleman, like to the point na nagagalit siya kapag ako ‘yung nagbubukas ng pinto. Hindi naman nagagalit pero parang, ‘ano ba dapat ako nagbubukas ng pinto na ‘to ah.’
‘Bakit ka nagtimpla ka ng kape, dapat ako ‘yan.’ Ganon. Nakakadalagang Pilipina.”
As for her fans, she noted that her Sunflowers are supportive of her pairing with Legaspi.
“With my fans naman po, actually kahit sino naman po ang makapareha ko, okay sa kanila. Most definitely, si Mavy kasi wala naman siyang history ng pananakit sa akin. And he’s been my really good friend ever since na pumasok sila ng GMA. Warm naman po ‘yung mga Sunflowers ko.”
Mavy added that Kyline’s fans are very welcoming.
“Palagi ako tina-tag actually sa mga post sa Instagram. So, I’m very happy na they’re very welcoming especially ‘yung fan base. ‘Yung mga Sunflowers ni Ky. Napakasaya and ever since na mag-start ako sa serye na ‘to, syempre you have to look forward na ma-welcome sa fan base ng ka-partner mo sa show.”
Legaspi and Alcantara are currently part of the Kapuso series I Left My Heart in Sorsogon. The series premieres on November 15, 2021, on GMA Primetime. Joining them are lead stars Heart Evangelista, Richard Yap, and Paolo Contis with Kapuso artist Michelle Dee.
