’24 Oras’ remains the #1 news provider, TV program nationwide as viewers depend on news during Typhoon Odette

The Kapuso news program ’24 Oras’ continues to reign in free TV as it delivers news and information about the onslaught of Typhoon Odette.

As early as December 13, warnings were released regarding the threat imposed by Tropical Storm Rai, locally known as Odette. On the said date, the typhoon was 1,630 kilometers away from the east of Mindanao.

Since then, people have paid attention to the news for updates and information regarding Odette.

With that, ’24 Oras’, the number 1 news provider in the country, has recorded an increase in ratings as Odette entered the Philippines.

On December 13, the ratings of ’24 Oras’ increased to 16.6% from 15.6% the previous day. This 16.6% rating was maintained until December 14.

On December 15, Odette strengthened up and was categorized as a typhoon, and signals were raised in several places. In line with this, the ratings of ’24 Oras’ also increased to 17.2% as Odette intensified.

The following day, the ratings of ’24 Oras’ dropped to 16.3% but, it still remained the most-watched program nationwide.

On December 18, Typhoon Odette officially went out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
