On Wednesday, January 5, beauty queen-turned-sexy actress Cindy Miranda said her Vivamax film Reroute is her most intense movie because of her co-star: award-winning actor John Arcilla.
“Ito pong Reroute kakaiba po ‘to. S’yempre mahilig po ako sa mga intense movies kung napapansin niyo. But this one, this is my most intense movie yet. And of course kasama ko dito si John Arcilla. I think yun ang pinakakaiba dito kasi nabigyan ako ng chance na makasama sa isang film ang John Arcilla,” she said during the film’s virtual media conference.
With the actor being in the film, Miranda stated she had to put effort into her character.
“Sobrang I had to level up talaga. I was so worried na, of course, he is a very very good actor, the best actor in the Philippines for me.”
Miranda will also be working alongside esteemed artists such as Sid Lucero and Nathalie Hart, which had her worried coming into the set. The sexy actress had doubts if she could do the movie with such great co-actors.
“Before po ako dumating sa set, I came from a shooting before Reroute shooting. So I felt that… hindi ko alam kung ready ako. Tinatanong ko yung sarili ko kung ready ba ako makipagsabayan kina John Arcilla, kay Sid Lucero, and kay Nathalie Hart?”
But because of how compelling the film’s story is, Miranda said she had to level up her game in Reroute.
“Sabi ko s’yempre wala namang choice ‘di ba? And I’m very excited kasi ang ganda ng script, ang ganda ng kwento. Pero palagi ko na lang pong ginagalingan pero dito sa movie na ‘to siguro mas lalong ginalingan ko, mas seryoso pa ako sa craft ko dito.”
Reroute is a sexy suspense-thriller under the direction of esteemed director Lawrence Fajardo. It tells the story of a couple, Trina (Miranda) and Dan (Lucero), who were on their way to meet the latter’s dying father. But a series of unfortunate events led them to meet Gemo (Arcilla) turning a normal trip into a spine-tingling experience.
