The second season of GMA Network’s Agimat Ng Agila ranked as the second most-watched program nationwide during its pilot on January 29.
The Bong Revilla-starrer series returned on Saturday night programming and occupied the 7:15 pm time slot.
According to AGB Nielsen, it earned an 11.8% rating. It ranked next to Magpakailanman as the #1 show that day.
Agimat Ng Agila set a huge gap compared to its rival programs Rated Korina (TV5) and Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity (A2Z and Kapamilya Channel), which earned 2.2% and 2.0%, respectively.

As of writing, the first episode earned around 20k views on YouTube.
The comeback earned the approval of netizens.
Netizens acclaimed the on-screen chemistry of Sanya Lopez and Revilla.
Some even felt that the pilot episode left them hanging as they were already hooked on the series.

After the loss of his wife and son, Major Gabriel Labrador (Revilla) started to move on from that tragic past.
He transferred to a new rented house near the vicinity and continued his mission–to save the environment.
He then had his new ‘family unit’ Nanay Berta (Elizabeth Oropesa) and Maya (Sanya Lopez). However, Maya got killed due to the incident that involved a ‘masked man.’
Because of Maya’s passing, Gabriel got devastated. Yet, it paved the way for him to build a closer connection to Nanay Berta.
Joining Revilla, Lopez, and Oropesa in the cast are Benjie Paras, Gardo Versoza, Betong Sumaya, and Miss Universe-Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo.
