Erich Gonzales was subjected to a background check by the family of her fiance Mateo Rafael Lorenzo according to a statement of Cristy Fermin on Wednesday, February 23.
Fermin said Lorenzo’s family is known for their riches that’s why they needed Gonzales to undergo a background check.
“Pina-background check pala ng pamilya ni Lorenzo itong si Erich Gonzales,” Fermin stated.
Fermin said that Lorenzo’s family eventually liked the actress for the young billionaire,
“Nung kinalaunan okay na,” she added.
Unlike other artists, she also commended the actress for keeping her relationship with Lorenzo private.
“Ang maganda kay Erich, hindi siya maingay. Hindi niya ipinagyayabang na may boyfriend siyang anak ng bilyonaryo.
“’Di katulad ng iba d’yan na gumanda lang ang kotse ng boyfriend akala mo kung sinong pinapa-show na sa buong bayan,” the showbiz host said.
“Si Erich tahimik. Ganoon ang mga artista, ‘pag tahimik, nagkakatuluyan,” she commented.
She added, “Hindi siya nag-uumangas. Hindi siya nag-iingay. Hindi nagmamalaki.”
Gonzales will tie the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend, Lorenzo, on March 23, 2022.
On Wednesday, February 9, Gonzales got reported to marry Lorenzo after their wedding banns were spotted by netizens at St. James the Great Parish in Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City.
Lorenzo was born in 1992 in Metro Manila. As of 2022, he is 29 years old. Lorenzo’s parents are Martin Lorenzo and Dr. Alicia Paez.
Lorenzo’s father used to own Yellow Cab Pizza and Pancake House.
Now Lorenzo is managing a private equity firm, Sierra Madre.
