GMA Network’s Encantadia spin-off called ‘Sang’gre’ already found its new lead star.
According to GMA News, GMA Entertainment executive Lilybeth G. Rasonable mentioned that ‘Sang’gre’ found its new lead star and is already in its creative development.
“It’s now in creative development. It is a spin-off ng Encantadia so may iba siya na mas marami siyang mortal world. Pero siyempre hindi mo aalisin ‘yung equity ng Encantadia [world] kasi ‘yun naman talaga ang jump off point nito.
“Marami rin bagong iniisip ang creator nito na si Suzette Doctolero. Exciting talaga for us kasi iba na ‘yung part two (2016 series). Ngayon [may] spin-off naman. Ang ganda kasi nabubunga siya ng iba-ibang material kaya dito kami looking forward to, pati ‘yung special effects na pinaplano naming gawin at saka ‘yung iba-ibang ways of depicting Encantadia, that special world that we created,” said Rasonable.
She then explained how they chose the artist that will play Sang’gre. She said that the actress should look strong and beautiful.
“Unang-una, kailangan mukha siya talagang Sang’gre. Kailangan beautiful, physically mukhang strong, magiging maganda ang hitsura kapag nilagyan mo ng costume, agile kasi definitely she will be doing a lot of stunts, a lot of fight scenes and siyempre magaling umarte. Lahat ‘yun taken ito consideration na puwede siya ihanay doon sa mga Sang’gre na nauna na before her,” she said.
As of now, the GMA network has yet to reveal the identity of the Sang’gre star.
‘Sang’gre’ will be the fifth installment of the GMA network’s Encantadia. Encantadia concluded in 2017 with an ending scene where the four Sang’gre sisters played by Sanya Lopez, Gabbi Garcia, Glaiza de Castro, and Mikee Quintos are carrying their child, that will be the heiress of the gemstones.
