Iza Calzado hoped that the next time she would hug VP Leni Robredo, the latter is already the President of the country.
On April 1, via Instagram, Calzado shared a photo of her and Robredo hugging each other.
“This time last week, I had the honor and pleasure of being part of the Leni-Kiko Rally in Digos, Davao Del Sur.
“To feel the energy of the people, some of them even traveled so far just to be part of the rally, was so inspiring and gave me so much hope. So much positive energy could be felt inside the stadium. It was electric!”
Calzado admitted she felt emotional seeing Robredo on stage being cheered by the crowd during the rally. She said she loved how Robredo speak and connect with the audience.
“The personal highlight about that day was this moment and several others backstage when I finally saw (Tita) Leni and give her a hug… and I could not help but get emotional.
“Sana sa susunod na pagyakap natin masabi ko naman sayo: “Sobrang proud namin na naging Presidente ka.” Tara po, ipanalo na natin ito. Lord, kayo na po ang bahala.”

Calzado cannot wait to see Robredo being the next President, and the actress said how proud she is of her.
