On May 23, Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual and new Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe teased what it was like working with each other in the Pinoy adaptation of Flower of Evil.
During the media conference for the poster reveal of Flower of Evil, Poe remained tight-lipped at first, but she giggly hinted about knowing the award-winning actor personally.
“Marami, are we allowed to say? Marami!
“Six months na rin.”
Pascual chimed in, recalling their months of working together.
“This (taping) is our fourth cycle, so we started last year, and we had workshops, and we just never stopped working on this project pretty much.”
Poe then described Pascual as a disciplined actor.
“I really appreciate how Piolo is so disciplined. I mean–the moment he wakes up in the morning, he knows exactly what to do. He sets his mind into taking care of himself, and when he gets on set, he’s always prepared. And the emotions that he gives me in every scene, talagang hindi ko na kailangan maghanap sa iba. All I have to do is look into his eyes and talagang nadadala na ako.”
Pascual then praised Poe’s commitment to her work while highlighting the new Kapamilya’s humility and love for her craft.
“One thing I really appreciate about her is her commitment to her work. It’s easy to be/ taken away, it’s easy to get drowned in this business, but Lovi is very humble.
“The way she approaches her work is talagang may passion siya na gusto niyang, hindi siya napapagod, it just so nice to see her really devote her wholeself into this project na ang sarap ng ganon and you kind of gravitate towards that.”
Pascual and Poe star in the upcoming Pinoy adaptation of the Korean series Flower of Evil.
Joining them are JC de Vera, Agot Isidro, Denise Laurel, Joem Bascon, Epy Quizon, Rita Avila, Jett Pangan, Pinky Amador, Joross Gamboa, Joko Diaz, and Edu Manzano.
