2022 is quickly shaping up to be a year of surprises and returns, both of which were majestically delivered yesterday, June 12, by the latest edition of the annual MEGA Ball. Carrying the theme ‘Glam Rock: A Performance of Style’–is the year’s gathering gets inundated with the biggest stars from all corners of local showbiz.

The theme allowed female attendees to go beyond the usual plain it-girl get-up, but the standouts are those who managed to carry their chosen fashion expression well.

Andrea Brillantes.

The Kapamilya star and social media superstar is all glammed up like a rock-chic ready to slay the red carpet. She did, with her fashionably-worn blazer around her semi-see-through outfit, that only tastefully revealed a glimpse of her body’s beautiful curves.

Bianca Umali.

The Kapuso star channeled attention-grabbing blonde energy with her all-black halter dress. Her mannequin look truly allowed her to stand out in the scene, and of course, with the dashing Ruru Madrid by her side, she pulled off the Barbie-in-black phantasm she seemingly wanted.

Catriona Gray.

Miss Universe 2018 meant business when she understood what ‘Glam Rock’ meant. The repurposed denim trench she sported perfectly carried the theme and its ‘sustainability’ campaign. What a way to show she’s royalty with purpose!

Kylie Versoza.

Versoza seemingly made sure the black corset she wore revealed her beautiful build, and it did. Gone are the worries and post-break-up woes in her eyes, as the expression she delivered seemingly belonged to an unbothered queen.

Kyline Alcantara.

The young Kapuso star impressed in a black skintight halter pantsuit, which she dashingly carried with her ultra-modern poise and glamour. You can’t say she missed the point of the year’s theme, as she unquestionably delivered through her monotonous but electrifying look.

Maja Salvador.

Gold is still in, as Wildflower star reminded us of her iconic ‘Ivy Aguas’ character. The Kapatid star had her real-life sweetheart Rambo Nuñez by her side to be her dashing-looking prince, but she is a queen who doesn’t need anyone to affirm her authority.

Maymay Entrata.

Maymay looked like a dancefloor diva with her metamorphosis-inspired gown and the sparkling iridescent robe she carried around her shoulder. She knows how to make a powerful statement with that style, but she has her exquisite-looking beauty to thank.

Maxine Medina.

The former Binibining Pilipinas-Universe understood the assignment with her classic rock band chic get-up. Her ripped jeans and glossy top created the expression she earnestly wanted to deliver.

Nadine Lustre.

The ‘President’ may not have come sporting a ‘chief executive’ look, but she arrived with a commanding and irresistible presence. Aside from the fact that the event allowed Lustre and her former reel-to-real onscreen partner to cross paths and make hearts flutter, again, the fashionista icon served that auburn, gold, and black goodness, really well.

Pia Wurtzbach.

The beauty queen-turned-actress pulled off an Amazonian-warrior vibe with her sparkling silver corset. The jewel-sprinkled dress she donned was a powerful fashion expression, but the fierce and feisty look she carried it and it made even a bolder statement.
