The July 8 episode obliterated the highest people rating set by the August 26, 2021 episode, which saw the show’s people rating reaching 13%.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’s rival Kapuso show Lolong may be ruling the 8:00 pm time slot, but victory seems to also belong to the six-year-old Kapamilya show.
The Coco Martin-starrer is virtually unopposed in the concurrent viewership race, as its live viewers on Kapamilya Online Live regularly hit 300,000 on YouTube; Lolong, on the other hand, barely hits 10,000 via Kapuso Stream.
On Friday, July 8, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano‘s concurrent live viewers peaked at around 320,000, while Lolong, which streams on two YouTube channels (GMA Public Affairs and GMA Network), had only 8,000.
Not just online, the Kapamilya action-drama has been flexing its longevity and popularity as it is practically winning the TV rating game if one considers that A2Z and TV5’s nationwide reach still pales in comparison to GMA Network. Currently, the Kapuso network has more than 60 TV stations the country, and claims to reach more than 97% of Filipino households. FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is also notably the only Kapamilya series in the Top 5 most-watched shows, according to AGB Nielsen National Urban TV Measurement (NUTAM) People data.

That is [already] the show’s highest TV rating since ABS-CBN signed off on free TV in May 2020. The said episode saw Cardo Dalisay finally knowing Armando’s group betrayed him and Task Force Agila.
